Rock legends WITHIN TEMPTATION are coming back to Greece with an exclusive live performance in Athens on the 22ND of July 2022! The leaders of dark anthems, with a career spanning two decades, will play their iconic hits alongside with the songs from the latest record Resist at Technopolis city of Athens.
With 6 studio albums – Enter (1997), Mother Earth (2000), The Silent Force (2004) The Heart of Everything (2007), The Unforgiving (2011), and Hydra (2014) – and more than 3.5 million record sales to their name, Within Temptation – led by Sharon den Adel and Robert Westerholt – is one of the world's most successful symphonic metal bands.
Within Temptation have headlined all the major festivals in Europe from Download, Hellfest and Wacken Open Air to Graspop, and Woodstock Poland, as well as many other. Within Temptation have received numerous international awards, including a World Music Award, a Metal Hammer Award, MTV Europe Music Awards etc.
And now the newest record Resist brings a futuristic take on metal to the table – both instrumentally and thematically. The message of WITHIN TEMPTATION’S seventh studio album is straightforward and self-explanatory. Sharon Den Adel commented on the title “It’s important to resist, because in today’s society people increasingly get oppressed by social subjection – a process fueled by authorities, dictators but also multi-nationals that manipulate and control.”
